In Falsus System Requirements: Can Your PC Run It?

In Falsus launched on September 9, 2026, and the first thing most players check before buying a rhythm game is whether their machine can hold a stable framerate. Good news: the official requirements are modest by 2026 standards. Here is the complete, verified picture — and the parts lowiro has not filled in yet, clearly marked.

Official minimum requirements (verified)

The table below is taken directly from the In Falsus Steam page and re-verified on launch day, September 9, 2026 — the minimum is unchanged from our September 7 check:

That is the entire official list. If your PC was mid-range around 2016–2017 — or is anything newer — you are already above the line.

Recommended requirements: not published yet

The Steam page has a recommended-specs section, but it is still a placeholder ("Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system") — no CPU, GPU or RAM figures. lowiro has not published real recommended specs, so be skeptical of any site quoting them as fact.

For context, not prediction: a rhythm game's real requirement is a stable framerate. Frame dips corrupt your judgement windows in a way that graphics quality never can. What the minimum specs actually mean

• Intel i5-7500 — a 4-core desktop chip from early 2017. Every mainstream CPU released since, including laptop chips, is faster.
• GTX 980 — a 2014 flagship GPU. Any current entry-level dedicated GPU (and most recent integrated graphics) outclasses it.
• 8 GB RAM — the modern baseline. Close browser tabs if you sit exactly at this line.
• DirectX 11 — no special runtime needed; Windows 10 and 11 ship with it.

In practice, the requirements describe "any PC bought for gaming in the last eight years". The demo left Steam on launch day, but its six-song build ran on the same engine — if it ran well on your machine, the full game should behave the same or better.

Mac and Linux: officially not available

The Steam page lists Windows only — both the macOS and Linux boxes are unchecked. That is an official platform statement, not a store bug:

Because the game is Windows-only, Deck play depends entirely on Proton compatibility, and neither lowiro nor Valve has stated a verification status as of launch day. The requirement nobody lists: your keyboard

In Falsus is a 6-key rhythm game, and on higher difficulties you press several keys at the same instant. A keyboard with n-key rollover (NKRO) is the hardware requirement that actually decides whether the game feels fair — membrane and laptop boards routinely drop simultaneous presses. The only official figure is 10 GB of free space. Two practical notes: leave headroom above that for launch-day patches, and install on an SSD — rhythm games stream chart and audio assets constantly, and an SSD is the cheapest "upgrade" your load times will ever get.

If your PC ran the demo, it runs the game. The official minimum (i5-7500 / GTX 980 / 8 GB / 10 GB, Windows 10 64-bit) is 2016-era hardware, recommended specs are unpublished, and Mac/Linux/Deck support is officially absent until proven otherwise.
