SCORING SYSTEM & CLEAR RANKS
In Falsus Scoring & EX+ Rating Guide
From EXACT timing windows to the 99,000,000+ EX+ threshold, here is how the note score, combo multipliers, and Encounter results combine into your final grade.
In Falsus scoring guide: 100M base system, EXACT/NEAR timing, Resonance bursts, and community-calibrated grade thresholds for every rank from EX+ to D.
Core Scoring Rules at a Glance
- 1.100,000,000 Base Score — All songs scale to a normalized 100M maximum note score regardless of total note count.
- 2.Two-Tier EXACT Window — Gold Shiny EXACT awards 100% value; regular Blue EXACT awards minor deductions.
- 3.NEAR Halves Value — NEAR notes grant 50% score and maintain combo without breaking your link.
- 4.EX at 98M / EX+ at 99M — Achieving EX requires 98,000,000+ points; EX+ requires 99,000,000+ with zero or near-zero BREAKs.
1. Judgement Windows & Timing Feedback
How note hits are measured and displayed in real time.
- 1
Step 1: Hit Notes on the Judgment Line for Gold EXACT
Every note descending across the 6 lanes (Shift, A, S, D, F, Space) must be actuated exactly as it intersects the glowing horizontal judgment line. Striking within the tightest timing window produces the glowing gold EXACT effect and awards full point value toward the 100M total.

Step 2: Watch EARLY and LATE Micro-Indicators
On high-speed charts (Ultimate and Forbidden), hitting slightly off-center displays an EARLY EXACT or LATE indicator above the lane. Use this real-time feedback to adjust your physical finger cadence before micro-deviations degrade into NEAR penalties.

2. Combo Stacking & Encounter Phases
How note density and Boss Encounter phases scale your score.

Step 3: Build and Maintain Unbroken Link Combos
Consecutive hits without a BREAK build your Link counter (displayed in the center track). Maintaining high combo chains compounds your accumulation speed across song sections, pushing your live score into tens of millions before the final stretch.

Step 4: Protect Your MSS Gauge from BREAK Penalties
During Encounter sections, every BREAK drops your MSS survival gauge by 10 points. If your gauge drains completely, the dive results in failure. Surviving with positive MSS HP is required to register a DIVE CLEARED status on the result screen.

3. Grade Thresholds & Clear Types
EX, EX+, Full Link, and Perfect Dive requirements.

Step 5: Reach 98,000,000+ for the Prestigious EX Rank
The DIVE RESULT summary compiles your total score and breaks down performance by note type (Tap, Hold, Field, Flick). Crossing 98,000,000 points awards the purple EX badge, proving high precision even with a couple of accidental BREAKs.

Step 6: Master Zero-Break Runs for EX+ and FULL LINK
Scoring 99,000,000+ points unlocks the elite EX+ grade. Finishing with 0 BREAKs awards the coveted FULL LINK banner. Achieving 100% pure gold EXACTs with zero NEARs achieves the theoretical maximum: PERFECT DIVE.

Full Grade Table (Community-Calibrated)
The EX and EX+ floors above are corroborated by two independent community sources; the AA–D bands come from community wiki calibration, with the source labelled on every row. None of these are official lowiro numbers.

◈ Read before using this table
These thresholds are community-calibrated (an r/InFalsus self-test thread plus a community wiki), not official values — lowiro has never published a grade table. EX, EX+ and AA are backed by two independent sources; A–D currently rest on a single community wiki.
Grades are only awarded on a DIVE CLEARED settlement — when the MSS gauge empties, a DIVE FAILED result displays the failure grade D regardless of score. Our Apparently there's a cheat code to happiness page documents a chart-view result card showing 099'133'106 points with rank D — a real capture of exactly this rule.
FAQ
What score thresholds are required for EX and EX+ in In Falsus?
In Falsus uses a 100,000,000 base scoring system. The EX rank requires at least 98,000,000 points, while the prestigious EX+ rank requires 99,000,000 points or higher.
What is the difference between Full Link and Perfect Dive?
FULL LINK requires completing a song with 0 BREAK notes (all EXACTs and NEARs allowed). PERFECT DIVE requires hitting every single note with the highest EXACT timing window (0 BREAKs, 0 NEARs), reaching theoretical perfection.
Does a NEAR hit break your combo?
No. A NEAR hit maintains your Link combo counter and awards 50% score value. However, too many NEARs will prevent your total from reaching the 99,000,000 EX+ threshold.
How does the Encounter score differ from the rhythm score?
The primary 100M score measures your rhythmic note accuracy. The Encounter Result score evaluates combat card damage dealt to the scenario boss based on card stats, elemental advantage, and Resonance burst timing.
What score do I need for each grade in In Falsus?
Community-calibrated floors: EX+ 99,000,000+, EX 98,000,000+, AA 95,000,000+, A 90,000,000+, B 85,000,000+, C 80,000,000+, with D below 80,000,000. EX, EX+ and AA are backed by two independent community sources; A–D rest on a single community wiki. Only cleared dives are graded by score.
Why does my 99,000,000+ run show rank D?
A high score with rank D almost always means the dive ended in DIVE FAILED: once the MSS gauge empties, the settlement shows the failure grade instead of the score grade. We documented a result card at 099'133'106 points carrying rank D on our Apparently there's a cheat code to happiness page for exactly this reason. Protect the MSS gauge, clear the dive, and the normal thresholds apply.
