TIER LIST & STARTER BUILDS

DEMO RANKINGS · PRE-LAUNCH · 5 OF 50 CARDS

This is a Demo & pre-launch rating system covering the five named cards we can craft today. Rankings weigh Power/Defense coverage, color-match flexibility, and Blueprint grid tolerance — not just peak numbers. The full 50-card tier list ships on launch day (2026-09-09); this page updates the same day.

TIER RANKINGS

S / A / B / C

Each tier reflects how reliably a card carries early progression — solo power, team synergy, and how punishing its Blueprint is when you farm mid-tier Iota.

S

S — Core Pillars

Cards you build your first serious loadouts around. Strong stat floors, forgiving grids, and traits that scale cleanly into encounter Phases.

Nia Path to Reality

Nia's red board balances Power and Defense without forcing a glass-cannon layout. Inner Concentration++ turns her Phase into the team's main damage spike; Opening Surge++ adds free opening pressure when you need to punch through a high-Defense phase. She is the default main DPS in every starter build here.

Mei 4AM

Mei's blue grid favors dense Defense clusters — exactly what keeps Resolve alive through NEAR-heavy charts. Inner Rigor++ multiplies that wall; Opening Recovery++ stacks with her natural bulk for the safest beginner line. Pair her when an encounter rotates blue or when you need a stable third slot.

A

A — Strong Specialists

Excellent within their lane — recovery, control, or burst support — but narrower than S-tier pillars unless the encounter color lines up.

Ayame A Warm Gaze Seeking Others

Ayame's green board trades peak Power for sustain traits and safer zone placement. She keeps Full Link runs alive on long charts and softens the cost of one or two penalties. Best third pick when you already have a red carry and need green coverage against purple bosses.

Iris Lost Garden of Bonds

Iris shines when Resonance timing matters — yellow phases often demand burst windows rather than raw stat totals. Her board accepts aggressive Power layouts, but you must hit EXACT chains to justify the slot. Swap her in for Nia on yellow-heavy encounters once your accuracy is stable.

B

B — Transitional & Situational

High upside when optimized, but lower default tolerance. Great for veterans who can dodge penalties; risky as a first card.

Story First Drop of Abyss

Story's purple grid chases maximum Power at the cost of Defense and placement safety. One Falsehood or Disconnect erases the advantage — rewarding for speed runners, frustrating for first clears. Treat her as a spice card until launch blueprints reveal whether the risk is worth it at scale.

C

C — Unranked Until Launch

The remaining 45 launch cards are not in the demo. They stay unranked here until release data lands on 2026-09-09.

STARTER BUILDS

3 LOADOUTS · DEMO-TESTED

Every build uses three different Blueprints (loadout max = five cards, but three named boards cover the demo triangle). Test damage and Resolve in the tools before you Integrate expensive Iota.

Build 1 · Balanced Progression

Nia + Mei + Ayame

The all-rounder: red burst, blue bulk, and green recovery cover the R→G→P→Y→B cycle's three safest demo colors without overlapping Blueprints.

Pros

Highest overall tolerance — one penalty rarely kills a run. Covers red, blue and green encounters out of the box.

Cons

Lower peak Phase burst than a double-offense line. Yellow and purple bosses need color swaps or NEAR-perfect charts.

Color coverage: Red (Nia) beats green · Green (Ayame) beats purple · Blue (Mei) beats red — classic demo triangle.

Recommended songs: Ghost Ray, Cryogenic, Hyaloüyne — rotate the third card to match each song's dominant phase color.

Build 2 · Burst DPS Overdrive

Nia (Inner Concentration++) + Mei + Iris

Stack Phase multipliers on Nia and use Iris for yellow burst windows. Mei stays purely to keep Resolve from hitting zero during setup.

Pros

Highest single-Phase damage in the demo. Resonance × Inner Concentration++ spikes delete boss phases fast.

Cons

Thin margins — BREAKs hurt more and Recovery traits are scarce. Needs Full Link or better on farming routes.

Color coverage: Red + yellow offense with blue anchor. Weak into sustained purple unless you swap Iris for Ayame.

Recommended songs: Ordirehv, à la mode (ULT), Deep Into The Vibe — charts where Resonance timing pays off.

Build 3 · Survival & Recovery

Mei + Ayame (Opening Recovery++) + Nia

Double Recovery traits and double Defense boards — built for players still learning charts who need Dive Clear over Perfect Dive.

Pros

Best forgiveness: extra Resolve heals and high Defense floors. Ideal first full-link farming setup.

Cons

Slowest kill times. Boss phases take longer; you may time out on DPS checks if accuracy slips anyway.

Color coverage: Blue + green sustain core with Nia handling red phases. Swap Nia out on pure yellow weeks.

Recommended songs: Hyaloüyne, Ghost Ray (MIN/EVO) — long charts where Recovery procs between phases matter most.

RANKING CRITERIA

HOW WE SCORE CARDS

Demo tiers are opinionated but grounded in confirmed mechanics — not datamined launch stats. We re-rank everything once all 50 Blueprints are playable.

Base stats — Power & Defense coverage

How much effective Power and Defense the Blueprint delivers at zero penalties with mid-tier demo Iota. Cards that need perfect layouts to reach average totals score lower.

Color matchup flexibility

The R→G→P→Y→B advantage cycle means your loadout's colors must cover upcoming encounter phases. Cards whose color appears often in demo drops and boss rotations rank higher.

Grid tolerance & Trait Slot flexibility

Boards with more Trait Slots and safer blank tiles forgive farming mistakes. We penalize layouts that routinely flirt with Falsehood or need triple-stacked Iota to function.

Cards Explained

FAQ

What is the best starter card in In Falsus?

For most players, Nia's Path to Reality (red) is the best starter card: balanced Power and Defense, strong Inner Concentration++ synergy, and she fits every build on this page. Mei (blue) is the best pick if you die often and need survivability first.

How are cards ranked in the In Falsus Tier List?

We rank demo cards on effective stats at low penalties, color coverage against the five-color cycle, and how forgiving each Blueprint grid is when farming mid-tier Iota. Phase burst traits like Inner Concentration++ boost ranking for offense; Recovery traits boost sustain picks.

Can I use duplicate cards in one loadout?

No — a loadout cannot include two cards built on the same Blueprint. You may run up to five different cards total, but each must come from a unique character board (Nia, Mei, Ayame, Iris, Story, etc.).

When will the full 50-card tier list be released?

On launch day — 2026-09-09. This page currently ranks the five demo cards only. We will publish S/A/B/C tiers for all 50 launch cards the same day the full game goes live, with updated starter builds for the complete roster.
