CARD CRAFTING & REMEMBRANCE

In Falsus Remembrance & Card Crafting Guide

REMEMBRANCE LABEL · BLUEPRINTS · POTENCY · TRAITS · ENCOUNTER LOOP

Every Card in In Falsus is crafted, not drawn: you integrate Iota pieces into a character Blueprint, keep the penalties at zero, and finalize the result into your collection. This page walks the whole loop frame by frame — and explains Remembrance, the story-calendar label each encounter carries. All UI labels and numbers below are read directly from demo-version footage, so expect tuning differences in the release build.

The Crafting Loop at a Glance

  • 1.The Loop — Clear Dives to earn Iota, integrate Iota into Blueprints to craft stronger Cards, then take those cards into harder Encounters.
  • 2.Potency Multiplier — your placed Iota's Average Potency ÷ 100 multiplies every stat the filled Zones grant (110 potency → ×1.10).
  • 3.Penalties Cut Stats — each active penalty shrinks the finished card; exceeding the Iota Limit by one already drops efficiency to 89%. Aim for Total Penalties 0 = 100%.
  • 4.Remembrance Is a Story Label — every encounter's loadout screen stamps a Remembrance number and in-fiction date (e.g. 1 | 10276/8/27), pinning the fight to the Scenario calendar.

1. What Is Remembrance?

The one label on the encounter screen the demo never explains.

Open any Encounter's loadout screen and the header shows two fields side by side: a Difficulty Rating and a Remembrance. On the Practice Dive (Difficulty Rating 100) the field reads “1 | 10276/8/27” — a running number and a full in-fiction calendar date.

That date is not decorative formatting invented for the fight: the hub's Scenario panel stamps chapter 1, “The First Lie”, as Month 8, Day 28 — the same calendar, year 10276. A Remembrance therefore pins each encounter to a concrete moment in the story timeline; the number before the date appears to count them in order.

The demo never defines the term beyond this label, so treat the above as an observation from footage, not a confirmed rule. For the Scenario timeline screenshot and card-integration basics, see the Cards guide. Cards Explained

2. Card Crafting, Step by Step

From the hub's Integration panel to a finished card in your collection.
  1. 1

Step 1: Open the Integration Panel from the Hub

Card Crafting lives under INTEGRATION on the hub menu, which tracks your three crafting resources at a glance: Blueprints (the boards you can build on), Cards (finished cards), and Iota (the pieces you spend). In the demo the panel reads 2 Blueprints, 2 Cards and 234 Iota.

Step 2: Pick a Blueprint and Check Its Limits

Each Blueprint belongs to a character and shows its ceiling before you spend anything: Mei's 4AM board is Tier 1 with an Iota Limit of 4 (Max: 6) and base stats of 1,800 Power and 4,200 Defense. The grid Preview stays locked until you commit, so the Integrate button is the point of no return.

Step 3: Place Iota onto the Colored Zones

Drag Iota pieces from your inventory onto the hex grid. Colored Zone hexes show a fill counter (3/3, 0/6…) and pay out stats only once filled. The moment one 110-potency piece lands, the side panel updates: Iota Used 1/4, Average Potency 110, Potency Multiplier ×1.10 — and the zone tooltip flashes +1,000 Power.

Step 4: Keep Every Penalty at Zero

The Penalties panel watches five rules — Overload, Out of Bounds, Overlap, Disconnect and Falsehood. Placing a fifth piece against a limit of 4 triggers Overload 1 and the efficiency readout drops from 100% to 89%, permanently shrinking the card's final stats. The full penalty ladder is documented in the Blueprints guide; the short version is: don't integrate at 89%.

Step 5: Cover Trait Tiles for Phase Buffs

Some hexes are Trait tiles: fill one and the finished card carries a passive into battle. Covering Mei's trait hex attaches Inner Rigor++ — “During this Card's Phase: Total DEF +66%” — which holds the line while that card's phase is active in an Encounter.

Step 6: Verify 100% Efficiency, Then Integrate

A finished build fills every chosen zone inside the Iota Limit: 4/4 Iota used, Average Potency 174, Potency Multiplier ×1.74, Total Penalties 0 → 100%. The Card Preview commits the math — 2,788 Power and 2,439 Defense for this Mei: 4AM — before you press INTEGRATE.

    Step 7: Finalize the Card

Integrating opens the Finalize Card dialog: the Available Traits panel lists what the build earned across tiers I–III, the preview shows the committed stats, and the demo notes “Color Change not available for this Card.” Confirm with Integrate and the card joins your collection.

Crafting the same Blueprint again produces a separate copy, not an upgrade: the collection ends up holding two Mei: 4AM cards with different stat lines (2,184/1,911 and 2,788/2,439) next to Nia: Path to Reality (4,730/946). Stronger Iota in, stronger card out — rebuilding a board with better pieces is the progression.

3. Crafted Cards in Encounters — and the Iota Loop

What your freshly crafted cards actually do during a Dive.

In an Encounter your five card slots line the side rails and activate in order — each card owns a Phase of the song, which is when its stats and traits apply. Hitting notes fires at the enemy while their hits land on your judgement line, and the Encounter Score under the main score climbs as you out-damage them.

After the song, the Encounter Result banner (here 000'233'656, CONNECTED) expands into a full breakdown: your Offensive Rate (73,172) with 30,000 Damage Dealt, your Defensive Rate (31,932) with 2,484 Damage Received, a phase-by-phase graph, and per-phase stat tables for you and the opponent side by side.

Clearing the Dive pays out new Iota on the result screen — this clear dropped five pieces, tagged by source: some from Rank, some from Song Length. The demo's drop logic looks partly random, but the loop is closed: encounters fund the next round of crafting.

FAQ

What is Remembrance in In Falsus?

Remembrance is the story-calendar label printed on every encounter's loadout screen, next to the Difficulty Rating — for example, the Practice Dive reads “1 | 10276/8/27”. The date shares the same calendar as the Scenario chapters (chapter 1 is stamped Month 8, Day 28), so a Remembrance pins each fight to a moment in the story. The demo never explains the term beyond the label, so treat this as an observation, not a confirmed mechanic.

How does Card Crafting work in In Falsus?

Open the Integration panel on the hub, pick a character Blueprint, then drag Iota pieces onto its hex grid. Fill colored Zones for base stats, cover Trait tiles for passives, keep all five penalties at zero, press Integrate, and confirm in the Finalize Card dialog. The finished card lands in your collection with Power and Defense set by the build.

What does Iota Potency do when crafting?

Every Iota piece has a Potency value. The build's Average Potency divided by 100 becomes the Potency Multiplier applied to the stats your filled Zones grant — a single 110-potency piece sets the multiplier to ×1.10, and the demo build shown above finishes at ×1.74, turning 1,600 base Power into 2,788.

How do you get more Iota in In Falsus?

Clear Dives. The result screen lists each Iota drop with a source tag — in the demo run shown here, pieces came from Rank and from Song Length. Drop counts vary between runs, so farming efficient encounters is the reliable path; the Iota Farming tool helps you pick them.
